Steubenville, Ohio pictured in the foreground and in the background the bridge that spans the Ohio River into Weirton, West Viginia. It�s quite a sight - especially when the pinnacle is encased in mountain fog!

North of Steubenville on Route 7 is the town of Stratton, Ohio home of The New Cumberland Lock and Dam.  This is just one of a series of locks and dams designed to keep the water flowing deep around the city of Pittsburgh making the  Ohio River navigable to barges all year-round.
